Empowering communities through health and wellbeing

We believe that when people in the community are supported by the right processes from the healthcare system, with the right resources, delivery of the proper healthcare is guaranteed as the patient is put first. Here, the Nyirinkwaya Foundation engages, communicates, collaborates with our partners and communities to ensure we provide integrated and patient-centered care.

Malaria Screening

In collaboration with Minisante, RBC, King Faisal Foundation, the Nyirinkwaya Foundation performed malaria screening on 120 people in plantations located in Bugesera, Rwanda. It was part of an international malaria study.

Cervical Cancer Screening

At La Croix du Sud hospital we will regularly do cervical cancer screenings. Our aim is to reduce cases of cancer as it is a significant and growing public health concern.

Building Safe Shelters

In collaboration with the local authorities, we were able to build a home for an elderly woman who was previously homeless.

Cultivating Medicinal Plants

We believe that certain cures can be made through the cultivation of medicinal plants. The foundation also provides continuing education for young Rwandan agronomists, mainly young women from rural regions. Locally made medicinal plants are cost-friendly and allow for medication to be easily accessible. The plantations are located in Bugesera, Rwanda and allow for the locals to earn a living.

We rise by lifting others.
